I’m an avid reader and always have been.  In fact, when my parents went to the Parent Teacher meeting with my grade 5 teacher, he told them to get me a public library card, because I had already read everything in the school library.  Now, I’ve been given a great opportunity to read and review some of my favorite things….BOOKS!  This might just be the best job ever!

 

 

Craig Groeschel is the founding and senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv, a pace-setting multi-campus church and creators of the popular and free YouVersion Bible App.

So do you know how to fight like a real man…a real man of God that is?  The world has set the bar incredibly low and yet men everywhere (and women too) are not working hard enough to raise it.  “Fight” addresses some of the tough issues men are facing today, the bombardment of images, the lifestyle of entitlement and the complete lack of moral compass.  Not to mention the complete “me” focus that’s so prevalent.  This book isn’t afraid to step on toes and offend people.  But the offense will come from conviction, not condemnation.

At times this book is laugh out loud funny and being a short one, you can get through it almost in an evening.  I wouldn’t recommend that though.  Take it slowly and really hear what Craig – who embraces his own weaknesses and how God is using them – has to say about how God can use you mightily.  IF you’ll just stand up and fight…with faith, with prayer, and with the Word of God.  It’s time to fight like a man, a mighty man of God.

So, should you get this book?  Absolutely!  It gets a solid Weekend Reading Recommendation that will appeal to both guys and girls.
