Choroideremia is an eye disease that causes retinal degeneration and ultimately blindness. Kit O’Connor is just 26 years old and now has to deal with a disease that may eventually rob him of his sight. Kit has joined forces with the CRFC Choroideremia Research Foundation of Canada to raise funds for further clinical trials in order to halt the progression of the disease. Kit will be taking part in the Vancouver Sun Run and he is looking for donations to help him reach his goal! Dr. Ian MacDonald at the University of Alberta along with researchers around the world are ready to test their gene therapy once they have the financial support they need.
