Northgate Baptist Church and Food for the Hungry Canada are in year six of a ten-year partnership with the village of Marare, Uganda. (To see what this involves, and to see auction items, go to the event link below)

A vital part of this partnership is sending teams each year. It’s a reality that in many cases the poor are not so much poor because of a lack of resources … they tend to be poor because of a lack of hope, of a lack of seeing that things could be different and that change, with God’s help, is within their grasp. When our teams go there we give the people of Marare the key messages:

You matter. You are not forsaken. Things can be different.

We are holding a Silent Auction and Dessert Evening on March 21 to support sending our sixth team to Marare to do just that. We will have a lot of good food and great things to bid on; and we will have lots to say about what we have seen of the progress in and success of the Marare community as God continues to work there.

Advance Tickets are $10 Adults, $5 children under 12 and $30 for families. Admission at the door will be $15 per person for all ages. Please contact us to book tickets before Friday, March 20 to get the advance price.
