The Italian Youth Association of Edmonton is hosting their 8th annual Viva Italia Viva Edmonton (VIVE) Festival on Sunday, August 27, 2017. VIVE, recognized as Edmonton’s Italian Festival, celebrates and promotes Italian cultural heritage with a full day of food, drinks, games, music, entertainment, and more. The goal is simple: to keep the spirit of Italy alive for both Italians and non-Italians living in Edmonton.

Programming runs from 12-9:30pm, consisting of a wide variety of activities and entertainment including but not limited to: the ever-popular wine and cheese tent, cooking demonstrations, MPW wrestling, a bocce tournament, Italian car show, kids corner, spaghetti eating contest, a variety of food trucks and exhibitors, and incredible entertainment on the Viva Italia Stage featuring headliner Vinz Derosa. A spectacular fireworks show will end the celebration at 9:30 pm.

This one-day festival takes place in Giovanni Caboto Park (9425 109a Ave NW) every year. All ages are welcome. We encourages you, Italian or not, to come and see what it’s like to be Italian for a day.
