Local home care team holds food drive in support of Edmonton Food Bank
Donations being accepted until Nov 17th EDMONTON, AB
November 3, 2014 – Saint Elizabeth Health Care is collecting non-perishable food items in support of local families and the Edmonton Food Bank until November 17th.
“Our organization is named after a woman who dedicated her life to caring for people and helping those in need,” says Judith Staranczak, Area Manager. “In the spirit of sharing a little hope and happiness with the community, our Edmonton office is collecting non-perishable food items to help feed local families in need.”
While Saint Elizabeth is relatively new to Edmonton, this national not-for-profit organization has been supporting people at home for more than 100 years. Saint Elizabeth is known as a trailblazer: embracing innovation and collaboration, and supporting communities with charitable programs such as free respite services for overburdened caregivers and our Caregiver Compass.
With winter drawing near, we want to continue to help fill the needs in our community.
Please drop off any non-perishable food items to the Edmonton Food Bank, or stop by our office at the Meadowlark Health Centre (156th St and 87th Ave) and have a cup of coffee with us.
Together we can help to reduce hunger while spreading hope and happiness in Edmonton this holiday season!
