Power up the Planet is a new Edmonton based non-profit with the goal of reducing e-waste and giving back to the community. We gather old or unwanted electronics, refurbish them, and donate them to charities and other non-profits in Edmonton and area. Anything that can’t be refurbished is properly and locally recycled. Join us for our official launch party on Friday, August 9th! We will be having a BBQ in the back parking lot of the office we share with Digital Link in West Edmonton. Attendees can learn about our initiative, meet our team, and have lunch! We will also be collecting electronic donations during the event, so guests are encouraged to bring old or unwanted computers, phones, printers, TV’s or any other small electronics.
