Leave it better than you found it! The annual Green Deer Spring Cleanup Campaign runs from March 21 to May 31, 2021. During this time, all Red Deer residents, including individuals, families, clubs, community associations, schools, faith communities, and businesses, are encouraged to take on the task of picking up litter in neighbourhoods and green spaces across the city.

Participating in Green Deer is a great way to build social connections and give back to your community—not to mention both the physical and mental benefits of spending time outside!

Volunteers should register their litter cleanup by filling out the online registration form between March 21 and May 31 (https://forms.gle/X6o3ZtWpzsDAU2sY6). Once registered, participants can pick up free cleaning supplies from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Registrants will also be automatically entered to win the Green Deer prize: a new barbecue from Canadian Tire Red Deer South and $200 in gift cards for Save-On-Foods.
