Join us for this FREE event for the whole family! Follow a story walk along different activity stations built around literacy including music, play, STEAM, and more. There will be book giveaways and special guests who will read their favorite books.
This is a great opportunity to celebrate National Family Literacy Day*.
Goals of our event are many, but a few are:
Raising awareness of Family Literacy
Encouraging families to engage together around Family Literacy
Putting some resources (free books) into as many homes as possible
The MacEwan University chapter of Golden Key and the Centre for Family Literacy are excited to return in person for the 11th annual Family Literacy Carnival in recognition of National Family Literacy Day. This FREE event offers interactive, fun literacy activities for families and learners of all ages. All guests will leave with a free book!
This event is to celebrate Family Literacy Day, a national awareness initiative created to raise awareness of the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. Literacy weaves through all aspects of family and community life. Over 700,000 adult Albertans struggle with literacy. Let’s change those statistics.
