I became addicted to hard drugs early in my teen years and always found myself searching for gratification and meaning in my life. As soon as high school was over, I ended up living on the streets of Edmonton and constantly needing to fill the void in my heart with something, so I always turned to drugs. One day my soul had finally had enough, and right in the middle of the street I looked up into the cloudy sky and started crying out God and Jesus to save me and help. I was finally ready to try something else and was hoping that they were listening. THEY WERE LISTENING!!!! The clouds opened up and the sun shined down on my face and not only warmed it but I could feel my heart being warmed. I knew they were answering my plees. I checked myself in to treatment and got clean. I re-connected with my saviours. I have now been clean and drug free for almost 6 years, have recently got married, bought a house and am planning on starting a family in the spring. I would not have any of this if I hadn't finally handed my will over to God and let him be my shepherd. THANK YOU LORD!!! I have been listening to shine for a couple years now and love it. I sing along with all the songs which evoke so much emotion in my heart that sometimes I find myself crying out in joy. I LOVE music and feel myself connecting with God each and every song that I sing to him. Thank you for spreading the word and helping everyone worship all day long!
