Positive Thoughts
Well…I am definitely seeing differences in my body and people have started to notice that I am losing weight or should I say inches. Most of my inches have been lost from my waist and I am just now starting to see inches come from my lower body. The past few weeks have been hard for me to stay 100% on program with my eating which is obviously impacting the scale but I am lucky that I have stepped up my exercise or I don’t think I would be seeing the scale or the inches change.
I was in Banff last weekend and although we ate out the entire weekend I did try and make the best decisions. I have to be honest that I did have a few treats over the few days we were there. Yummy…yummy Caramal Macchiato! Now before you go….BAD TAWNIA!!! We stayed active by swimming and doing some hiking. I absolutely love to hike and it was gorgeous!! We saw several waterfalls which are my favourite!! However, while we were hiking I was once again reminded of how out of shape I have gotten. There were a few times where we were climbing hills and I felt really out of breath. A few years ago, I did the same kind of hiking and ran up those hills.
This was a good reminder to push myself a little more and to put my all into getting healthy and losing the weight. Sometimes I find myself frustrated that I need that reminder and it is even more frustrating how I can put myself down when I am on vacation. Pictures are taken and I see how heavy I still am and although I am making changes to my body right now I find that my head needs some positive changes as well. I find that I put myself down and I am pretty hard on myself. I thought I would be down more weight by now but really only have myself to blame. I started off strong on the program by measuring every little thing and my eating was under control but I just couldn’t get moving. Then I started to get moving and my eating started to slip a little. I haven’t been able to budget my time, energy and personal time to encompass both eating and exercise. Like Nicole (U Weight Loss Contestant) I am setting goals for myself this week. I will exercise at least 5 times and I will eat properly as well. I am also setting a positive talk goal for myself this week. I will think encouraging things about myself and my appearance. I will take that extra time in front of the mirror every morning to ensure I am looking my best for right now.
