Candy Cane Cookies
Candy Cane Cookie Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter or margarine

3/4 cup sugar

2 cups flour
-
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
1 egg, separated
-
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes

chocolate chips
How to make Candy Cane Cookies:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter (or margarine) and 1/4 cup sugar.

Add vanilla, flour, and egg yolk, mix together well.

Add in crushed candy canes.

Form cookies into one inch balls.

Dip cookies in beaten egg white.

Roll balls in 1/2 cup sugar.

Place about two inches apart, on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Flatten cookies slightly.

Top with two or three chocolate chips, press on cookie lightly.

Bake 15 minutes.

Let cool for a couple minutes, then remove from cookie sheet.
