Michaelia Frankton, whose husband will be deployed over the 2011 holiday season, and the public will gather for the official unveiling of a huge 8'x4' banner that they can sign before it is sent to Canadian
troops in Kabul in time for Christmas.  A special dedicated website will also be announced where Canadians can post their video messages for the
troops.

Albertans will be encouraged to send their Holiday wishes to Canadian troops at a special ceremony being held at the Sears West Edmonton Mall at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. A huge 8'x4' banner will be unveiled for people to sign before it is shipped off to the Canadian Forces Base in Kabul in time for Christmas. In addition, a special website
will be revealed where Canadians can post video messages that the deployed troops can see.  It is all a part of Sears Operation Wish, a program sponsored by Sears Canada in co-ordination with Director General Personnel and Family Support Services (DGPFSS) with the goal of helping connect Canadian troops with their families and the general public during the
Holidays. The banner will be on display until end of day on December 11th for people to sign and the web site will stay up through the Holidays. Among
those expected for the special ceremony include Michaelia Frankton, spouse of a deployed soldier, representatives from the Edmonton Garrison base, and
Members of the Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre.
