Going South To Save Money?

Posted by David James  |  POST A COMMENT

It was recently reported that the Canadian economoy loses out on roughly $20-billion in revenue every year, due to Canadians heading south of the border to do their shopping.

Numbers have gone up, with Canadians shopping stateside for things like Black Friday, to save bundles.  So much so that some retailers, in Canada, have even started introducing Black Friday deals to try to get shoppers to stay here.

I'll admit that I have planned shopping trips, in the past, in the States to save money.  Why not plan a holiday and save some money on yearly shopping, all at the same time?

Obviously the argument for shopping south is that you save money, but how many of those shoppers actually realize that it could be hurting their own country more than they think?
