Alexis the Craft Queen is back with another fun and festival craft!

“Stained Glass” Christmas Pictures

Materials

Dollar Store Frames: make sure they have plastic NOT glass as cover. Frame size depends on what size you print out you Christmas prints.
Permanent Markers in a variety of colors
Black Sharpie Marker
Aluminum  Foil
Christmas Prints
Newspaper to cover work area.
Paint shirts or aprons because you are using permanent markers

Instructions:

Pick out print that you would like to make into your “Stained Glass Picture”.
Remove plastic from the front of frames.
Place print on table and position the plastic from the front of the frame on top.
Using the permanent markers color in the image as if you were making it as “Stained Glass”. The more colors the more beautiful the picture.
Use the black sharpie to outline the picture.  This mimics the “Lead” in stained glass.
Tear some aluminum foil slightly bigger than the plastic and gently crumple it up and then smooth it out again.

Assembly:

Mould foil around the frame back, shiny side showing. Place your “Stained Glass” creation on top of the foil and put frame together. Voilà beautiful “Stained Glass”.

These pictures look beautiful and light reflects off the foil. I bring out the ones my children made every year at Christmas.
