A New "Twist" to that Million Dollar Smile

You may have spent a mint on making sure your children have nice straight teeth. Here in Canada, straight teeth are viewed as important, not just for looks, but for health reasons as well. But a new trend could be sweeping the nation....of Japan that is.  I can't see this taking off here, but in someways I can appreciate the appeal.  

The snaggle-tooth look is one of the hot new trends in Japan, but it's a look only for the ladies.  Apparently, men find women with less-than-perfect teeth less intimidating to approach, and thus a trend was born.  Now I am not a fan of young women going to the dentist to have their teeth cosmetically altered to look crooked or to have plastic frounts on their teeth, but for all the ladies with a natural occuring double-tooth look, the time for you is now... is always.  

If it's not causing health issues no matter what your teeth look like the importance is to love you for you. I always thought it was my physical flaws that made me unique from others and I believe beauty is about accepting the way God made you and more importantly, how you live, love and learn as you go through life.  

My goal is to age gracefully. I don't always do this, but I hope that I will get better at this as time goes on. I don't have a choice on geting older, but I do when it comes to my reaction to it.  

So you have straight teeth, snaggle-teeth, a slight crooked nose, a snear-smile... Celebrate it!  Be confident in who you are, because beauty trends will come and go.
