Heather Williams
She never really knew her birth father and her step father treated her as an outcast, not part of the family. Eventually her mother told her she was not wanted anymore. Her grandfather in Michigan then took her in, but pretty much lat her do whatever she wanted. She got into drugs and alcohol until she was kicked out of the house.
It was then, at the age of 15 she reconnected with her birth father. He was a Christian and took her to church where she would come to know Christ. At 18 years old, and with little more than a few pennies in her pocket she went to Florida to see a guy, Tim, who she had worked with on a mission trip. Within 6 months they were married. He had a solo album out and soon discovered his new wife's musical ability. They toured together with their band U-Turn for a few years before settling down at a church in Florida. At 6 months and 18 days her baby died.
In 2003 they were blessed with another child, a girl, then a boy just 15 months later. Heather Williams had written a number of songs, but it wasn't until someone came forward and offered to help pay for her to record an album, that she took a trip to Nashville to do some recording. The indie record was called Heather and lead to a record deal with INO Records.
Heather was named "Artist to Watch in 2011" by Billboard Magazine.
