Emily Black

At the mere age of 16, Emily Black has written, recorded, and released over fifty songs. Her first vocal debut CD titled “Know My Heart” includes twelve songs that reflect her original sense of musicality and her love and dedication to God. She has written music since she was eight years old.

Emily's main instruments are her voice and the piano, although cello, guitar, d'jembe, bass, and other instruments appear in her CD. Its eclectic mix has a little bit of everything, but a lot of one thing – sincere adoration of Jesus Christ. “Its just my sacrifice of praise,” she says. She hopes that her music speaks to others because it comes from her heart and from the Lord.

As a junior in high school, she enjoys writing, hanging out with family and friends, participating in extra-curricular activities like Speech and Drama, and endures the never ending pile of homework. She is the fourth of six children and lives with her parents, five siblings, and bothersome English-Springer Spaniel in Williston, North Dakota.
